Meeting Place:  Bitter Lake Community Center

Mayor Ed Murray will lead a Find It, Fix It Community Walk in the Bitter Lake neighborhood. During this walk, neighbors, police, and City officials will come together to identify nuisance and safety issues (e.g., overgrown trees, graffiti, and litter). There will also be a chance to volunteer with community groups working on revitalization projects funded by the City of Seattle and Cities of Service.

A little history on Find it and Fix it.

In 2014, Mayor Ed Murray initiated Find It, Fix It Community Walks, a series of Mayor-led walks that help improve neighborhoods one block at a time. During these walks, neighbors, police, and City officials walk together to identify physical elements in the neighborhood that make it feel unsafe or poorly maintained. Examples include overgrown trees, graffiti, street light outages, and litter. Once the elements are identified, the City and community work together to fix the problems.
Also our City has a  Mobile App for Find it and Fix it. For more information go to: http://www.seattle.gov/customer-service-bureau/find-it-fix-it-mobile-app

  1. By showing up to this event will be a great way to let our Mayor know that we are a strong community and it helps with funding small and big projects. Do you have a fix it that you would like to share? Take a picture, write about it and show up.
