Broadview Prepares Sponsors Free First Aid / CPR / AED Training

On Saturday July 14 fifteen Broadview residents attended a training class on first aid, CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) skills sponsored by Broadview Prepares.  The class was presented by Bill Morrow, a retired firefighter who now teaches these skills.  Held at Luther Memorial Church, 13047 Greenwood Ave. N, the attendees spent about equal time learning about first aid response and practical skills in CPR and AED.

There was plenty of time to answer questions, and practice hands-on skills.  These skill practices included the new hands-only CPR, traditional CPR, AED and CPR for babies.  Participants went away with confidence they could help in an emergency, and a two-year certification.

Another free class will be held on September 8, 2012.  If you are interested contact info@broadviewprepares.org  The classes are funded in part by a Neighborhood Matching Fund award from the City of Seattle, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.
