Venema Natural Drainage Project

Seattle Public Utilities invites you to a public meeting for the Venema Natural Drainage Project

What is the purpose of the meeting?

We invite you to come and hear updates on the current status, design, and schedule of the project. It will be a good opportunity to meet design team members; they can answer your questions about the project. Our landscape architect will also be available to talk about plant selection.

 Why is the project important?

This project helps promote water quality in Venema Creek and Puget Sound by cleaning and slowing stormwater that carries pollutants from roads and residential neighborhoods.

TIME: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. DATE: Wednesday,  December 8    LOCATION: Bitter Lake Community Center 13035 Linden Ave N, 98133

  1. Does this meeting relate to projects on 2nd Ave. between 120th Ave. NW and 122th Ave. NW?

  2. Hi, would you please give us an update on when the project is scheduled to begin… when will the next public meeting be? What phone number can I call for more information?

  3. The next public meeting will be Thursday, March 24th, 6-7:30 p.m. at the Broadview Library (N.130th & Greenwood N.). We (SPU) are currently working on setting up a web site within the City of Seattle web site specifically for this project. Construction is expected to begin approximately this September. Much more to come! Anyone who wishes to be on an email list for updates can contact me: mike.eagan@seattle.gov.

    • Has the next meeting been scheduled yet? I’ve not been able to make it to any of the meetings and would love to be able to get more information.
